The bloody chair ...

I wasn't really thinking about posting this one, but since 3D max decided to crash 3 times, I got frustrated enough to share my anger with my fellow netpeople.

Anywho, this wasn't supposed to take that long (but it did), it's a chair (d'oh) made with poly-edit. Real simple, "it all starts with a box" (accurate measurements people, those are important), the rest is connect and disconnect the edges so as to create the base for where all parts of the chair are attached. It's real simple, you only need to create 2 boxes, one taller than the other one, in order to bridge them across and voila! you have now half a chair. Just like coming home from Ikea you managed to make a part of it, now you only need to mirror that object and copy it so at is remains symmetrical (or use symmetry, whatever!). Now that you have your two parts its bridging across and you've gots a chair.

The cushion, was made with a shape drawn over the chair's base on Top View, that way you have a more accurate measurement for it. You will now make it into 3-d, I did it with Bevel so it gets closer to the form (from wide to narrow), next step was to Turbo-smooth the cushion and place it on top of the chair.
